Tupelo Hassman

Tupelo Hassman is the author of the novel girlchild (Farrar, Straus and Giroux) and winner of Quiet Lightning's first book contest with Breast Milk. Her work has appeared in The Boston Globe, Harper's BAZAAR, The Independent, The New York Times, The Paris Review Daily, The Portland Review Literary JournalZYZZYVA, and by 100WordStory.org, FiveChapters.com, and in Drivel: Deliciously Bad Writing by Your Favorite Authors, among others. Tupelo is the first American to win London's Literary Death Match and she teaches at Santa Monica College and California State University, East Bay.
